Compute4Punch wird bereits im HEP-Umfeld angewendet. Das Overlay-Batch-System soll zur Integration von Compute und Storage-Infrastrukturen sowie Caching-Systemen zum Einsatz kommen. In WP5 von TA6 wird das als Service angeboten. Was muss noch gemacht werden, damit das konkret in und ausserhalb von PUNCH zur Anwendung kommen kann und in welcher Form wollen wir das anbieten ?

A C/C++ library for compressing MeerKAT/SKA radio data is needed. It must be fast enough to compress the incoming data on-the-fly. The data values are 1-dimensional unsigned 8 bit integers.
